Smudging - Burning Sage to get rid of negative energy on yourself, your home or any space.  Smudging is thousands of years old.  To smudge, first open all doors and windows.  Light a smudge stick and let it catch fire.  Extinguish the fire and let the smoke billow from the stick.  Walk around the area letting the smoke get everywhere, in every room, corner, cupboard and small space.  Use a dish to catch any falling ashes as the stick burns.  As you walk from room to room, say a prayer releasing anything you want to release, any negative energy.  Invite positive energy into the space.
