Even if you have been physically active for a long time, we believe that you’ll gain knowledge and understanding of how your body is designed and needs to stay in motion. Z has been coaching clients (both in the public and private sector) for 32 years, using multiple methods to help people reach their goals. Many clients come monthly or twice a month for reflexology and coaching sessions. Students find one, two and 3 classes that work for their personal goals and schedules. ~ SEATED Gentle Yoga is done in your chair and standing behind your chair. It helps with balance, breathing and flexibility. This is for you if getting on the floor could prove too challenging. Also great for anyone with mobility, weight issues and recovering from surgeries. Classes begin @ 40 minutes.
~ Z's Roller Yoga helps rehydrate the connective tissue and balances the nervous system. While exercise deals primarily with the musculoskeletal system, this class is a direct self-treatment of the neurofascial system (nervous & connective tissue system). It is a great complement to everything that you are already doing to stay healthy.
~ Gentle Yoga is a style of practice that focuses on stretching and breathing, not feats of strength or extreme flexibility. Excellent for a beginner. Still, you shouldn’t expect to spend the whole class in a supine position with a blanket. You may do standing postures, forward bends, and strengthening poses in addition to mat seated stretches.
~ HATHA Yoga is an old system that includes the practice of asanas (yoga postures) and pranayama (breathing exercises), which help bring peace to the mind and body, preparing the body for deeper spiritual practices such as meditation.
~ YIN Yoga works deep into the connective tissues to activate change at that deepest level. With passive (rather than active) postures, it challenges you to find peace in a position and hold that position for 3 to 5 minutes. Mostly on the floor, the postures work into the energy flows, or meridians, of the body.
~ All Levels Flow (Vinyasa) is for the student who may have done some yoga or for the beginner who is looking for a more challenging practice. This class focuses on proper alignment, breathing, and balanced action. Yoga props are encouraged and modifications are given when needed. You will build steady heat and strength from the inside and end with deep relaxation, as every class ends @ Z's.
Costs: Roller/Melt and YIN classes are $120 for 8 consecutive weeks. All other classes are $108 for 8 weeks. This means should you miss a class there are 12 other classes where you can make up within your 8 week period of time. If you register as a couple/ mother/ daughter there is a discount! If you take more than one class per week this also applies. If finances are a challenge please speak to Z. We value our students.
